Currently... (via FB thread)

"The worst thing any anarchist has ever done to me is to feed me vegan pizza. They're nothing to be afraid of, people. Unlike fascists and racists.
That said, I think anarchism is naive, privileged, and goofy. Power abhors a vacuum, which is why every example of anarchism in history was easily overwhelmed by more organized foes and neighbors."

Too many concepts are bundled under the rubric of "anarchism". So much so that your statement can be both correct and incorrect at the same time. Thus, the term has lost meaning. Many systems and schools of thought referred to as part of "anarchism" can, and do prevail. Syndicalism, co-ops, autonomous zones, mutual aid, sole-proprietorship, etc..

Ultimately anarchism, like antifa and atheism and decolonization and abolition and and and, are a thought process, not a thing.

Your "...easily overwhelmed by more organized..." thing gives the impression that you are of the anarchism = chaos camp.

Many that self-identify as anarchists would strongly disagree, as a lot of anarchist ideas and practices are highly organized systems. What they are not is hierarchical. But rather, horizontal, cooperative, collective, etc..
(or, in my case, solo)

Whenever, in any endeavor, you forge your own path in action, in opposition to the perceived knowledge and proscribed method promulgated by an authority, you are practicing anarchism.
You are an anarchist.

Not all such paths are wise, or advisable, but GIGO. 😜
